Rand Stadium Toyota (RST) makes it a point to give back to the community for their continued support, and what better way to have done so than a joint effort with the Toyota Twin Cam Club of SA. Last year's show was a serious contender, but this year it trumped all others and was arguably the largest Toyota-only show in the country.

The double-story dealership cleared its floors entirely for the great task of getting an entire Corolla timeline as well as some exotics on showcase.

RST went all out to provide excellent family entertainment from Urban Trax 4x4 rides and F1 simulators to some of the countries finest examples of Toyotas and the car that Jeremy Clarkson said to be the best he has ever driven. Yes, the legendary Lexus LFA.

As always, TTCC brought out their best, and in numbers too. Old school was the order of the day as the Box Rollas stole the show. Ranging from a 26 year old with 20 000kms original mileage, to a 700kw earth-moving 2JZ conversion.

And not forgetting JHB's Finest Toyota, Mohamed's white Corolla GLS.

Creating a timeline of Corollas from the 70's to date is a tall task considering the scarcity of these models, but TTCC and their much loved members and friends cleared their schedules to provide the locals with nothing but unadulterated motoring passion for the largest car manufacturer in the world.

On to new school and exotics, there was no shortage! Toyota's latest offering, the 86 has hit the market hard and already the boosted applications are rolling around the streets and tracks. Rob Green Motorsport and the Jaqcues 'the Stiglet' put on an awesome burnout and gymkhana session for the crowds showing off their supercharged 86. We have to say, after the 3rd set of tyres gone, the car looked un-tainted. Almost as if it was asking for another round. RMS Innovations also had their supercharged 86 on show and took second place in the 4 cylinder category of TTCC's own Rev-It competition, with first place going to the absolutely stunning 86 of Dewald Luce'. A Toyota show is not a show unless the legendary Supra makes an appearance. Its always great seeing one, but truly epic seeing them collectively in double-digits! From the showroom to the Rev-It, to even the Sound Off, the Supras proved to be the best all-rounders with Dean's Remus Supra taking an award from TTCC for the Best Import.

But that was not all, the country's only Toyota enthusiasts club recognised and supported by Toyota SA turned 25 this year. To celebrate this milestone, the club had a surprise 'Thank you' present for all its members and a slice of TTCC cake in a small birthday ceremony during prize-giving. Happy birthday TTCC!

TTCC would like to thank everyone who attended, RST for their hospitality, our valued club members and friends who showcased their cars and lastly all Toyota fans who keep the club and brand alive as it is today.
